What it does
- Map data by area
- Roads, rivers, land cover, peaks and place names for any area, with geometry.
- Points of interest by tag
- Any OpenStreetMap tags near a route or inside an area.
- Stops along a route
- Points of interest near a route, in route order, each with its kilometre on the route. Food, water, shops, toilets and bike repair by default; places to sleep, sights and more on request.
- POI tiles
- The same points in fixed squares, for apps that cache data or work offline.
- Place search
- Towns, villages and landmarks by name.
- Roads along a route
- The roads and tracks a route follows, with their surface and type.
- Where a point is
- Country, region, the town or village it belongs to and its time zone, in the language you ask for.
- Time zones along a route
- Each stretch of a route with its time zone and the UTC offset on the day of the ride.
- Elevation
- The height of any point, an elevation profile with total climb for a route, and terrain tiles for 3D maps.
- Outdoor layers
- Protected areas and national parks, cycling, MTB, hiking and running routes, ski pistes and lifts, by area or along a route.
- Weather and air quality
- Forecasts for a point, and the weather a rider meets along a route at their own pace, with head- and crosswind. Air quality everywhere, pollen in Europe.
- River levels
- Current water levels near a point or a route and how they changed over the last day, for Germany, France and England.
- Routing
- Routes between points for cycling, road and gravel bikes, MTB, hiking and cars, as GeoJSON or GPX.
